Eco (Hr.Sec/High School)
ECO Club aims to train its members to become environmentally conscious and also to spread awareness in the school as well as in the community so as to create a clean and green surrounding for all to live in. Under the theme, ’Small Steps…..Big Differences’ the club has conducts several activities every year—-Cleanliness Drive, Sapling plantation, Poster and Slogan Competition on pollution free environment, Signature Campaign on World No Tobacco Day, Quiz Competition on Environmental issues and Photography Competition.
Culinary (Hr.Sec/High School)
Culinary skills, as the name suggests, is all about learning everything about kitchen etiquettes. Food production in itself is a large scope in every sector. It involves art and scientific approach. Culinary skills and food production can be further classified into different types including management, cultivation, preserving, baking, drink and candy makers and much more. It is not just cooking and serving, but apart from this, they have to invent, assume, build and manage people. It is growing very fast and there are many opportunities in the hospitality industry. Therefore, the Culinary skills club functions mainly to equip the young minds with the scope and importance of this sector as a whole. The main vision is to equip the students with the kitchen etiquettes, teach different ways of cooking, introduce the culinary world to them on a broader option. Not only that but also to develop their interest with a purpose and a vision, nurturing and bringing out their best potential in converting their interest and hobbies more into building as profession for later life. We also focus on learning the nutritional values of different kinds of food, zero wastage, explore- prepare and enjoy good food at affordable prices. The club has also been teaching students on budgeting which is a very important task for every individual in order to sustain.
Health & Wellness (Hr.Sec/High School)
Health and Wellness club in schools can favorably influence the habits, attitude and knowledge relating to an individual and community. The overall objective is to improve students achievements by increasing healthy life style through health education and healthy behavioral changes. The members keep themselves busy with : Suggesting the Canteen owners to include healthy food in the menu ;Poster Making to commemorate World Environment day; and videos on social and civic awareness.
Career (Hr.Sec/High School)
Theme: Be a Pioneer, Explore and Achieve.
The CHSS Career Club has been created to enable the students in developing positive attitude towards career planning; provide them with relevant career information, advice and guidance; to enable them evaluate their own strength and promote social/personal development of students in a safe, inclusive learning environment. Students are guided on various professional career options, eligibility, course of studies and future prospect in upcoming jobs. The members are encouraged to work on effectiveness, efficiency and growth which will enable them to categorize the employment opportunities in accordance with their abilities. It aspires to maintain appropriate work force as human resources in organizations.
Entrepreneurship (Hr.Sec/High School)
Vision: – To create a sustainable student-run organization in order to provide them with the opportunity to learn by doing.
Objectives:
1. To encourage entrepreneurial thinking, business knowledge, and commercial awareness.
2. To instill confidence, inspire and build momentum among the students.
3. To nurture the latent entrepreneurial talent, develop awareness among its members of the attitudes, values, and skills of successful entrepreneurs around the globe.
Students are often made to come up with some start-up business ideas and are teamed up according to their line of interests. Building a challenging atmosphere among each group so that they can put their best ideas in the planning and management. Students team up and analyze other business start-ups and make case studies which also act as resources for other teams to follow up with. Starting up a venture to get a better idea of how real-life micro business work is one major aspect of the club’s activity.
Culture, Tradition and Heritage
The Culture and Tradition Club was created with an aim to preserve our rich Naga heritage ; promote opportunities for students to experience various cultures in an educational setting; and to develop their creative abilities. Go-kart racing competitions ,in an indigenous way, folk dances that make their bodies swaying to the lovely beats of the drums and songs, folk song competitions that keep the mood of the members upbeat; educational tours and visits to museums and a display of cultural attires and indigenous culinary skills competition form an important aspect of the club’s activities.
Kingdom Kids
Kingdom kids Club is for the students of class 4 and 5 (both boys and girls). The main focus of the club is to make the students understand the value of life through songs, music, stories, activities, testimonies etc. It also aims to bring out their hidden talents by giving them the platform. Objectives : The students will not only learn about God but also growing closer and developing an intimacy with God.
Bharat Scouts and Guides
The Bharat scouts and Guides (BS&G) is the National Scouting and Guiding association of India. The Aims and Objectives of Scouting and Guiding is to encourage the physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual development of young minds, through value system based on the Scout and Guides promise and Law, to help build a better society where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role.
NCC (Hr.Sec/High School)
(1 Nagaland Girls Bn Girls, Kohima), (24 Nagaland (I) NCC Boys, Kohima).
Motto: Unity and Discipline
Aims: To develop character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, spirit of adventure and the ideals of selfless service amongst the young girls and boys.
Activities: Institutional trainings on various subjects, attending camps, participating in social welfare activities and rallies against social evils are some of the activities besides obtaining an A certificate which earns a bonus for them when they go for jobs in the police and the armed forces in the future.
Science, Technology & Robotics
The Science, Technology and Robotics Club aims to promote inquisitiveness among the students, to inculcate scientific temper among them and to encourage, motivate and equip the students in applications of Science and Technology and it’s interface with the society. It gives an opportunity to conduct hands on experiments and exposure trips are held to help broaden their scientific comprehension. The club intends to build and widen the student’s scientific perspective which further helps to develop scientific hobbies.
Literature & Literary
Literary and Literature club, CHSS, was formed, to hone the literary skills and competency in writing, igniting the passion for reading and most importantly, in communicating effectively. The club, since its inception has conducted a range of activities such as read – aloud sessions- to boost positive habits of reading and listening and foster a love for language; story writing, film/book reviews to enhance their literary creativity, and speech presentations, debates, discussions on social issues to liberate their thoughts and develop skills to express themselves articulately and confidently.
Current Affairs (Hr.Sec/High School)
“Current Affairs’ Club” is a platform for the students where they can share their views on mainstream events taking place all around. The club gives the perfect way to be more aware of life outside and provides an opportunity to develop valuable debating skills and educate students on stimulating matters. The club aims to provide a space for students to discuss and debate issues of global significance as well as it helps them to keep them up to date with general knowledge and happenings in their surroundings and worldwide. The objectives of ‘Current Affairs Club’ are –
i) To help students to become critical thinker.
ii) To develop leadership skills and personal integrity.
iii) To demonstrate helpfulness and respect for others.
iv) To raise their awareness on news and issues.
The club activities include news reading, bulletin board updating, debate and quiz competitions, discussion of various topics ranging from breaking stories to the larger controversial questions of politics, economics, literature, science, philosophy and so on. The students are also engaged in every working Saturday in collage making by collecting local, state, national and international news and updating the bulletin boards with the informative and educative news for all the students. The bulletin boards of school are also updated with the past and upcoming events and achievements of students and school.
Bible
Imparts the knowledge of the Word of God, shares the truth of the Gospel in ways they can understand, respond and live accordingly and encourages them to help one another grow in faith in their walk with Christ. Prayer Fellowship, Bible study, presentation and discussion on some real life situations and contemporary issues, craftwork, dramatic play, quiz, memory bank, recitation and club outing form the major part of their club activities.
Handwork (Girls) (Hr.Sec/High School)
Students are encouraged to be creative which enables them to enhance their imaginative ideas through hand on activities, improve their ability to control materials, tools and techniques, develop increasing confidence in the use of visual and tactile elements and take responsible action.
Craft work (Boys) (Hr.Sec/High School)
Through craftwork, students learn the value and appreciate artifacts and crafts of various cultures. Making the students experience in design, arts and crafts and enabling them to reflect critically on their own work and other’s as well. It makes them act and think like designers and artists, working creatively and most importantly preparing them to be self – reliant. The members are moulded towards discovering abilities which leads to attainment of finesse in craft-making. They are provided an environment where purposeful craft flourishes to infusecreative skillsby giving them the liberty to create. The club aims to make the students take up self oriented employment projects.
Music (Hr.Sec/High School)
“Where words fail, Music speaks” is the theme of the club. Members of this club explore the different aspects of musical activities and are also guided in developing a taste for music. Familiarization with the art of singing, performing ,conducting as well as the different styles of singing are what the members work on. Video presentation ; Vocal class-vocal warm –ups, postures and singer’s stance; Music theory- staff notation and its applications ;Practical sessions on guitar keys and chords ; Solo and duet competitions ; choral pieces; and exposure trips to music institutions to learn more about different musical instruments rounds of the activities for the year.
Social Service (Boys) (Hr.Sec/High School)
The Social Service Club (Boys) was introduced to instil social welfare thoughts and carry out actions without prejudice. Students of class 6 and above are enrolled in the club. The club activities are held every working Saturdays after the classes. It helps the students to respect people, fulfil their responsibilities and serve the community. The club participates in all the Swatch Bharat events. It also collaborates with the district municipality in executing some of the cleanliness drive in the city. The student sunder take works to maintain cleanliness and greenery in the campus, visiting orphanage, distribution of food and clothes, educational tours and cleanliness awareness campaigns.
Social Service (Girls) (Hr.Sec/High School)
Social Service Club of Higher Secondary Girls aims to prepare students for responsibilities in social work by providing them knowledge and skills, and to develop commitments to social welfare. The club carries out collaborative work in cleanliness drive within the school campus, and also participates in mass social work campaign beyond the school boundaries.
Legal Literacy
LLCs have been set up in schools to promote legal awareness among students. The students were informed on issues like Juvenile Justice Act, Cyber-crime, how to write FIRs, Motor Vehicle Act, Marriage Act etc. The club members had the opportunity to have first hand experience on Lok Adalat.
Art and Drama
Art and Drama Club is just three years old. During that time, we have had the pleasure of witnessing many excellent performances. Whether children have the opportunity to perform in plays or help out behind the scenes, Drama and Performing Arts not only engages with the creative side of the brain, it also provides a balance in our pupil’s curriculum. We are certain of one thing, all those involved come away enriched by a wealth of opportunities. Art and Drama Club unashamedly devote first and third Saturdays of each month providing opportunities for our students in polishing different skills and talents. The core benefits of having Art and Drama Club can be summed up in the following points:

Fun With Numbers
The Fun With Number club projects the basics of arithmetic. It motivates students to learn and practice mathematics in both traditional and play-way methods. The club activities help the students in supplementing classroom learning.

Sports, ‘A competitive physical activity’, ensures fair competition and fair adjudication of the winner. As committed to provide a healthy sporting habit among the students, it mainly infuses discipline and instills the competitive value system in one individual.
Fine Arts (Hr.Sec)
The purpose of the creative fine arts is to stimulate interest in creative ideas among students. As the pupils design and make decorative craft items they learn about the variety of arts and craft resources which enhances their creative imagination and skills.
Making stuffed toys from old clothes and cotton balls, flower pot and vase painting, greeting cards and bookmarks making using recycled papers, photo frame, embroidery work, hair bands and other accessories are some of the activities the students are engaged in.
