About the School

A Brief History about the School

Christian Higher Secondary School Dimapur is centrally situated in Dimapur Town at Nyamo Lotha Road. The school was founded in 1957 and was managed by both public and private enterprises till 1966. Since January 1967 the school has been running under the auspices of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC), the highest Baptist Church Organization in Nagaland. The present management does all its reckonings from the year 1967 when the NBCC took over the school as an educational institution. The school therefore, celebrated its founding Silver Jubilee in 1992. The school is a co-educational institute with classes from A to 12. Two years of preparatory work is required before a child is promoted to class 1. The school sent its first batch of students for HSLC examination in 1973. A separate school diary is used for the Higher Secondary section which opened its Arts stream in June 1996. The school introduced class 11 Commerce stream in 1999.
