Co-curricular Activities
The school conducts various programmes for cocurricular activities like Bible, Craftwork, Cooking, Creativity, Current Affairs, Dramatics, Eco., Handwork, Music, Social Service, Science & Technology, Career Clinic which are carried out on all working Saturdays under the banner of Saturday Club Activities where students are graded according to their performance. participation. Meritorious students will be given a proficiency certificate based on their knowledge and skills attained in these areas at the end of class 12 academic session.
The school also encourages individual talents & skills to be explored through the School Annual Competitions: Choreography, Flower Arrangement, Debate, Quiz, Recitation, Singing, Spelling Bee, Essay Writing & Art etc.
The school conducts an Annual Games & Sports programme. Students participants are divided into four (4) houses so as to create a competitive spirit when participating in sports and other competitions within the school.
Annual Sports
Sports is week-long event in a year for both high school and higher secondary separately. Sports week include different games such as football , volley ball, basketball and track and field events such as 100m, 200m, 400m(girls), 800m(boys). Long jump, shotput, and tug of war.
SBS/Scripture Retreat
Summer Bible School (SBS) is conducted during the Summer Vacation for five days for the age group of 6 – 19 years. Students from other schools too are allowed to participate in this programme. Atal Tinkering Laboratories
Atal Tinkering Laboratories established by Atal Innovation Mission under NITI Aayog started functioning with the objective to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing among learners. It contains educational and learning kits and equipment on Science, electronics, robotics, open source microcontroller boards, sensors, 3D printers and computers. Scientifically inclined students from classes 6 to 10 are involved and engaged in a variety of Mechanical, electrical and robotics related task.
Counseling
The School Chaplain gives counseling to guide the individuals meet their spiritual, emotional and relational goals with an aim to assure them that they are loved and cared for. Counseling is also for students on discipline matters.
Peace Club
The CHSS Peace Club operates under the Peace Channel, Nagaland with an aim to build a culture of peace among the students . PEACE CHANNEL is a New Youth Movement of the third Millennium aiming at organizing the youth as PEACE Lovers ,PEACE Makers and PEACE Promoters through information and transformation.
Mentor- Mentee Programme
Teacher-mentors keep the communication open by showing support, facilitate student’s (mentee) development of goals and objectives, provide solutions to academic questions and frustrations, and lead towards a successful graduation from school. This program aims at improving the quality of child care by enhancing classroom environment.
Taekwon-do Class
School in collaboration with FAITH IN ACTION TAEKWON-DO ACADEMY introduced Taekwondo for the students of CHSS in 2019 so as to cater to the needs of the students interested to train in martial arts. Student from class 1 to 12 (boys and girls) are given the opportunity to learn this art. Taekwondo classes are conducted every Saturday. Extra classes are also provided to the students as and when required. The core ideal of this martial art is to impart self discipline, respect for others and to adhere to punctuality. Taekwondo is the art of kicking and punching and it is the most popular form of modern martial arts. There are testing and belt exams which are conducted on a regular basis. The belt is being awarded by Faith in Action Taekwondo Academy.
