SAMARTH PROJECT 2026

The SAMARTH (Students Advancing Mindsets in AI, Robotics, Technology and digital Hardware) Project 2026 organised by Ministry of Electronics and Information in collaboration with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Kohima concluded for the students of Christian Higher Secondary School Dimapur on 7 March. Altogether 208 students from classes 6-8 participated in the training sessions. The programme was held on five Saturdays-7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th February, and 7th March 2026. Each session lasted 4% hours with two learning sessions and a short break in between. Students actively participated in the hands-on training, gaining valuable knowledge and practical exposure. On the final day i.e.,7th March 2026 each student was given a certificate and SAMARTH AloT Kit box by Daniel Meren, Additional Director, Scientist-E, NIELIT Dimapur in the presence of the Principal S. Moatemsu Walling and Vice Principal Patricia Zhimomi.

THANKSGIVING Service

**Since January 1967 the CHSS has been running under the auspices of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC), the highest Baptist Church organization in Nagaland.** The SMB Chairman Rev. Lamkhotong T. Singson was also present at the service.

An NBCC team of officers led by Rev.Dr.Zelhou Keyho (Gen.Secy.) had a THANKSGIVING Service with the CHSS administrators, teachers and staff at the Covenant Hall on 8/10/22.

CHSS Red Ribbon Club celebrates International Youth Day through a Poster Competition on the theme – “Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating A World For All Ages- HIV Free.”  A total of 38 participants strove for the winning prizes. 12/08/22

An Education Fair cum Career Seminar

Theme: “A Pathway Where Dreams Meet Career Realities”

31st October & 1st November 2025

Under the initiative of the Confluence Team of CHSS, the two day event took place on the 31st October & 1st November 2025 with the theme – “ A Pathway Where Dreams Meet Career Realities.”

The Confluence 2.0 was launched by Smt. V Lovitoly Sema,NCS, Addl. Secy & Ex- Officio Director Higher Education GON. Besides her, the Seminar Speakers included Shri. Ekyimo Shitirie, Joint Secy, Nagaland Board of School Education and Shri Atao Rahaman, Chief Manager SBI Evening Branch Dimapur.

Besides, the present edition also featured a Tech Fair which was initiated by NBSE collaboration with Alpine Concern Nagaland.

The Confluence 2.0, a one of its kind career educationevent ended on a high note with the participation of more than 2000 students and teachers and 16 universities/ institutionspan India.

World Environment Day

Nagaland Board of School Education has done away with the Environmental Education subject and the curtains are pulled down on it by the class 10 2022 batch. On 5th June, in commemoration of World Environment Day, the EE teachers &students presented to the school, a framed poster highlighting the theme, “Only One Earth”  Environmental education connects people and nature, prepares students for the future, empowers environmental stewards of all ages, builds community, and changes lives.  2022

English Learning Workshop

An English Language Teaching workshop for CHSS English language teachers was conducted by Mini N. Joseph from the Collins Publishing House. 22 teachers participated along with the school Heads.

Farewell Programme of Mrs. Lily Singh

Mrs.Lily Singh, one of Christian HSS’ longest serving teacher has retired after 34 years (1987-2021) of “giving her level best”.

A farewell programme was held at the Covenant Hall to celebrate the legacy she had built as a teacher. The programme was chaired by Patricia Zhimomi, VP and prayers by Mrs. Limanaro and Mrs. Chaplain.

Mr.  Moatemsu Walling, Principal called Mrs. Lily an achiever, a role model and a dedicated teacher, whose contribution to the school has been immense. He added that one has to emulate her exemplary traits and practice it.
